Ep. 105 – The RUNATL Podcast: A Conversation On Diversity

The RUNATL Podcast is hosted by Big Peach Running Co. Founder, Mike Cosentino, and Director of Marketing, Dave “D2” Martinez. This week on the RUNATL Podcast we sit down with fellow colleagues in Run Specialty and talk about diversity in our sport and community. We hope you join in our commitment to do better by listening to this conversation.

2020 Year

Hello, Friends,

It’s somewhat hard to believe that it was a full year ago when we saw the news about George Floyd…  The sadness, disappointment, anger, tension – – and countless other emotions – – flooded through our own minds and through our neighborhoods and communities.  Answers were scarce… but pledges were wonderfully made and catalysts for change were conceived and furthered.  Just as notably, conversations were started… and real commitments were truly and deeply considered.

Among these, Big Peach Running Co. indicated we would keep the conversation on racial equity going.  We would not shrink from where we were insufficient and where improvements could be found.  Part of our ongoing efforts includes the learning and inspiration that comes from the Running Industry Diversity Coalition.  In this episode, we introduce you to the Chair and a Board Member of this already impactful and fiercely determined entity…  Listen – – and make your own commitments, my friends!
