Sparkle Wellness: Build Habits, Have Fun

If you’ve lined up for a local 5K in East Cobb or Roswell, you’ve probably seen them: a
bright, smiling Sparkle Wellness crew—often in pink—cheering, racing, and making the
whole event feel like a block party. This is the story behind that energy: how Jacynta
Harb built a community that makes healthy habits fun, turns “I can’t” into “I did,” and
keeps showing up for our running races month after month.

Who Is Jacynta Harb?

Jacynta’s path didn’t start in a studio, it started in a small Pennsylvania town (she’s #9
of 11 siblings), took a detour through Spanish (B.A.) and Criminology (M.A.), and
included stints teaching at Western Carolina and coaching leaders at Weight Watchers.
Translation: she’s wired for people, progress, and getting the best out of a room.

What makes her different? She’s a “lead with love” leader who believes in choices,
attitude, and actions—and that joy is a skill you can practice daily. That ethos anchors
Sparkle.

The Tipping Point → The Founding of Sparkle (2014)

Sparkle wasn’t a lightning bolt; it was an evolution. As Jacynta’s values shifted toward
personal connection, flexibility, and family, the corporate playbook felt constraining.
The final nudge was missing her daughter’s first soccer goal, proof that her schedule
didn’t match her priorities. In 2014, she launched Sparkle Wellness so she could coach
in a way that aligned with her life and values.

“I wanted to use my gifts of teaching and encouragement… with a small business that
lets me actually know people.”

What Sparkle Wellness Actually Is (and Why It Works)

Sparkle Wellness = a supportive community focused on three pillars:

  • Fitness (from walk-run beginnings to half marathons and beyond)
  • Nutrition (real food, real habits, no gimmicks)
  • Mindset (confidence, consistency, doing hard things… together)

Jacynta calls herself a habit coach. The vibe is simple and powerful: build sustainable
habits, keep it fun, and do it with people who care if you show up. The results are real.
Weight loss goals become finish lines, and “I just wanted to feel better” turns into “I did a
half marathon,” and sometimes “I did Ragnar.” (Yes, the overnight relay in the rain at 3
a.m.—they did that, twice.)

Core values in Sparkle’s DNA:

Fun; connection; challenge yourself to change yourself; embrace that the journey is
forever; real food + effort = real results; and lead with love. You feel it at every meetup
and race.

The Race-a-Month Tradition (and Why You See Sparkle Everywhere)

One Sparkle hallmark is “a race a month”. What started as a simple 5K goal became a
runway to 10Ks, halves, and full marathons. It’s progress by design: small steps,
repeated, celebrated. And it doubles as a give-back: when Sparkle shows up 30–50
strong, every race gets a boost of energy, registrations, and volunteers. That’s how
community fitness gets sticky.
