RUNATL Podcast

Hello, Friends!

When I was “growing up” in the sport of Running, there was a special personality who could always keep my attention with his encouragement and unique way of making this lifestyle so terrifically inclusive…  And without intending to sound any more qualified than I am, this individual was reaching impressive heights with his career in service to the sport at the same time I was seemingly at the height of my ultrarunning accomplishments.  As such, I was hardly part of his primary market – – but I could not applaud or share him enough!  His way of helping so many get started and stick to it was an example that inspires me today!  And that is part of why this episode with John “The Penguin” Bingham as our featured conversation is so fun and rewarding for me…  John continues to motivate and encourage the young and the old and the fast and the slow!  For those who are already plenty familiar with him, he’s as good as ever!  And for those who will just be getting to know him here, you’ll see why he is such a timeless treat!

Here’s the first place to get primed for “The Penguin”.

It’s always worth reading the classic Penguin Chronicles… and now a fun exploration of what John is currently sharing and spreading!

These are easy books to recommend to so many friends and listeners.  If you’ve not already them, do yourself such a favor!

Here are the races John referenced when we asked him to recall his favorites – The Chicago Marathon and The Marine Corps Marathon.

And here is a great way to vacation – – a running cruise with John Bingham and Jenny Hadfield!

As always, we THANK YOU for being part of the fun!  If you have comments or suggestions as to how we can be of service to you, please drop us a note at!  Many thanks – – and may your best miles are those covered on foot!
