RUNATL Podcast

Hello, Friends!

Talk about “perfect timing!”  Just in time for Spring, we have Dr. Norm Eng as our featured conversation in this episode to help all of us who are coming out-of-hibernation do so in the most sensible and success-minded ways possible.  Our conversation with him is chocked full of helpful tips for getting started, staying strong and being able to stick with it all year long!  Give it a listen and plan to learn much…

As always, thank you for being part of the fun!  The Show Notes are below…

SHOW NOTES for Episode #26

Here’s a great way to learn even more about Dr. Norm (and his partner, Dr. Josh Glass, at Georgia Sports Chiropractic).  And here’s a solid start to seeing all the fine work done by his award-winning practice.

As we mentioned, this is our Tax Day episode of the RUNATL Podcast, as the release date coincides with the week our Federal taxes are due (unless filing for an extension)…  Just in case, you’re not sure what is required, visit this page.  😉

Dr. Norm used a great term for what all of us would like to do when concentrating on a key event this year:  Periodization.  Here’s the full definition: Periodization is the systematic planning of athletic or physical training. The aim is to reach the best possible performance in the most important competition of the year. It involves progressive cycling of various aspects of a training program during a specific period.

As Dr. Norm rightfully referenced the importance a “plank” can play in our core strength, here’s a reminder as to how to do it properly and the “walking lunge”.

D2 and I are trying hard to do more of these each week (as Dr. Norm recommended!).

And here’s D2 doing the Nordic Hamstring Curl (man down!):

Even though it has been in fits-and-starts to get consistently nice weather, here’s to your best Spring yet!  It is, indeed, an honor and privilege to be part of your fitness routine!  We will see you again in just a couple weeks…  Until then, may your best miles be those covered on foot!
