Ep. 18 – The RUNATL Podcast Holiday Special

The RUNATL Podcast is hosted by Big Peach Running Co. Founder, Mike Cosentino, and Director of Marketing, Dave “D2” Martinez. This week we sit down with members of our Brookhaven team for a RUNATL “Holiday Special”. You’ll get to hear about a 170-mile stage race, running in the nude, the making of a marathon PR and the importance of consistency in this episode of the RUNATL Podcast.

Seasons Greetings, Friends!

And, for sure, Merry Christmas, Y’all!  Because of the simple fact that December 25th fell on a Monday this year, we can now claim that like Harry Connick, Jr. and Mariah Carey, we, too, have a holiday special!

Alright, that might be a bit of an embellishment…

But what is entirely true is that our last episode of 2017 was a blast for us – – and will hopefully be a boon for you as you finish strong in 2017 AND have your best pedestrian-active performance ever next year.  In short, D2 and I recently stormed our Town Brookhaven store after it closed for the evening and we gleefully held our teammates captive for a motivational and instructional ransom…  And, man, did it work!  We get to hear about a 170-mile stage race, running in the nude, the making of a marathon PR and the importance of consistency…  Thanks to our Featured Conversation with Tyler Tomy, Sean Nagorny, Fernando Del Valle and Grant Kendall, this episode will have you chompin’ at the bit to begin 2018 and leave you wanting more!  And even though the Show Notes are pretty minimal, the possibilities of how you will challenge yourself after listening are not…

As always, thank you for being part of the fun!  The Show Notes are below…

SHOW NOTES for Episode #18

Learn even more about the leader of this band of merry men, Tyler Tomy (and other members of the BPRC Leadership Team), by visiting this link.

Here’s the race that both Tyler and Mike share as their first-ever road race… despite the fact that it’s in Iowa!

To learn more about the race that served as a homecoming for Sean and the stage for his personal best in the marathon, check out the Erie Marathon.

No joke… it’s a grueling 170-mile footrace.  And Fernando conquered it!  Here’s the “it” so you can plan something BIG for yourself in 2018… Grand to Grand Ultra!

Feel like your running clothes are too heavy?  Here’s the home of the race that Grant discusses that had him bare all to blaze a faster 5k.

Again, HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS TO YOU!  We will see you next year!  And, of course, please don’t forget that you can always connect with us AND enter a question for the “Podcast Payout” at podcast@bigpeachrunningco.com

We so very much appreciate you!  We will see you again in just a couple weeks (2018!)…  Until then, may your best miles be those covered on foot! – Mike
