This is the inaugural RUNATL Podcast, presented by Big Peach Running Co. The RUNATL Podcast is hosted by Big Peach Running Co. Founder, Mike Cosentino, and Director of Marketing, Dave “D2” Martinez.
Episode 1 – Introducing The RUNATL Podcast
Earlier this year, the BPRC Leadership Team uncovered some interesting information about the increasing popularity of podcasts. And with our organizational Mission always at hand, we soon set out to develop a broadcast that could unseat “Driving” as the most common accompaniment in Atlanta to listening to a podcast – – and replace it with “Exercising!” You’ll hear more about this intention in our inaugural episode of the “RUNATL Podcast,” as well as our staunch commitment to use this platform to Inform, Inspire, Empower and Encourage others AND each other… On this maiden verbal voyage, we set the stage for future episodes and we introduce a few mainstay elements, including “Worth Knowing,” “What’s Your Excuse?” and “The Podcast Payout.” For sure, we believe, if not immediately, we will soon have a production that no runner, fitness enthusiast or aspiring athlete will ever want to miss!
For every episode, we will also publish “Show Notes” to make it easy to acquire additional information on the content you heard. The materials below are such for the first episode! Of course, we would also appreciate your feedback, suggestions, comments and questions on the content or the format… You can always connect with us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Here are the SHOW NOTES for Episode #1!
Big Peach Running Co. MISSION STATEMENT
To Grow, Support and Enhance the Pedestrian Active Lifestyle in and around Atlanta.
Watch the exciting attempt at a 2-hour marathon that Mike and D2 referenced on YouTube.
Here’s the marathon Mike referenced when discussing the pain and disappointment that can accompany any pursuit at a personal record, The St. George Marathon.
Here’s a direct link to the so very cool AJC Peachtree Road Race Limited-Edition Wave Rider shoes that were advertised.
Here’s the quickest way to purchase the Saucony Ride 10 that D2 detailed… and to which Mike added trivia for a brand that has been making shoes since 1898 (!!).
Here’s the site that was shared when D2 was talking about the Hotlanta Half-Marathon. Don’t forget the Pacing program from BPRC that was referenced; if you need more information, drop us a line at email@example.com.
Here’s the race Mike referenced as one of his all-time favorites with his family: The Possum Trot 10K.
Our inspiring theme video, “What’s Your Excuse?” can be found here.
For those interested in gaining an entry to the AJC Peachtree Road Race through the Atlanta Track Club’s Kilometer Kids program (one of the few ways to enter now!) that D2 highlighted, here is the registration form.
And, again, here’s the best way to submit a question and become eligible for the “Podcast Payout”: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for listening! We will connect with you soon and be back the week of May 29th with our next episode and an inspirational interview! Until then, may your best miles be those covered on foot! – Mike
