Hey Friends!

Jen is a former Big Peach Guest Advocate and it was great catching up with her. If you’d like to follow her on Instagram, she’s @jenrabyfitness. If you’re interested in her services as a personal trainer you can visit her website, Jen Raby Fitness.

I really appreciated her honesty and willingness to open up about her journey and relationship with alcohol. If you need help or want to learn more about the different sources Jen used, check out Moderation Management and BetterHelp.

Moderation Management™ (MM) is a behavioral change program and national support group network for people concerned about their drinking who desire to make positive lifestyle changes. MM empowers individuals to accept personal responsibility for choosing and maintaining their own path, whether moderation or abstinence. We promote early self-recognition of risky drinking behavior, when moderate drinking may be an achievable goal.

BetterHelp is an online therapy service offering access to licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), and board licensed professional counselors (LPC).

Jen mentioned a few podcasts she listens to and I want to make sure to support other podcasters. Check out The Adventure Jogger and What The Actual Fork podcasts.

I briefly mentioned the Atlanta Winter Bike League. If you’re a cyclist (of any ability) and you want to train during the winter with a great group, then check out this group. You can also join the Facebook Group page for details. I will be volunteering as one of the group ride leaders along with our Bike Sales and Service Manager, Colby Bryan. The groups are divided up by ability (average speed) and all groups go ride for a specific amount of time. Every 2 weeks when the group meets, the time is increased by 20 minutes. The ride starts over at the West End at Wild Heaven Brewing and Finca To Filter Coffee. So there’s plenty of parking, coffee for before the ride, and food/beer for post-ride. I hope you join us. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me at podcast@bigpeachrunningco.com.

Until next time, let’s be grateful for the privilege to participate in this active lifestyle, and look to each other for inspiration.
