What Are You Doing This Weekend?
Can’t decide? Let Peachy help you find a fun way to appeal to your Pedestrian Active Lifestyle (P.A.L.).
We're so excited about what this weekend has in store, that we're going start with Sunday's activities and work our way back to Saturday!!
Need to hunt and gather those last minute items for the AJC Peachtree Road Race? We can help! All 4 BPRC stores will be open for that rare Sunday, June 28 from 12:00-5:00. Come visit us after your Sunday long run for all your needs!
Want to ditch the city for a little while? Then head to Paulding County for the XTERRA Silver Comet 6.2 Trail Race. Taking place June 28 at 8:30am, the race starts on the street then heads out for 3.1 miles on the Silver Comet Trail. The returning 3.1 miles will be on a single and double track course built by the Paulding SORBA group. The terrain is made up of a little bit of everything; rolling hills, climbs, single track, double track, roots and minimal rocks. In-store registration continues through Thursday at 8:00pm.
We've got Sunday covered...what about Saturday? So glad you asked!
Looking to meet some like-minded folks to hang with while you put in your miles? How about a group run or walk at BPRC Decatur Saturday June 27 at 8:00am? We have maps for routes of varying distances, and runners and walkers of all different paces and abilities. Making this even more of a social event is your chance to meet one of our newest partners, the Decatur Running Club! And, what is a Sat. morning run without coffee, juice and bagels? Yup, we’ve got that too. This event is free of charge and open to runners and walkers of all abilities.
In-store registration continues until 8:00pm Thursday for the Annual Pride Run/Walk 5K taking place June 27 at 8:00am. It's always fun to spend a Saturday morning walking or running 3.1 miles in beautiful Piedmont Park. Adding to the cool factor of this event is the incredible charity earmarked for all the proceeds. Founded in 1989, Jerusalem House currently provides over 50% of Atlanta's permanent supportive housing designated for homeless persons living with HIV/AIDS. Here's a fact that may surprise you: 40% of Jerusalem House's residents are children. You get to do something good for others while doing something good for yourself!
Want to make weekend plans in the fall? We have...
