Let’s Hit Those Trails!
This cool weather has Peachy feeling really frisky! He/she/it? started thinking in 5, 7and 5 syllable sentences on an early morning run. Do you Haiku too? Visit our Facebook or Twitter page and share your original running Haiku. Who knows, Peachy may post it on our website!

Time to hit the dirt
BPRC group trail run
At Vickery Creek
That’s right, the BPRC/Subaru Trail Running Series is back! Our next installment takes us to beautiful Vickery Creek, part of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. We have a 4 mile route set up with options for additional mileage if you so choose. This route is fairly technical in places, but should prove a fun challenge for all! And, don’t let the word run scare you … walkers and day hikers will enjoy this scenic trail too! Check out the ruins of a 19th century mill, and the still standing mill manager’s house while enjoying the morning. We start the run/walk at 8:00am, but if you would like to meet at BPRC Marietta and carpool or caravan, we will take off from there at 7:30.
BPRC staff members are often asked if special equipment is recommended for trail running. The answer is yes, depending on how you hit the trails. We also highly recommend trail running shoes for the avid day hiker. They offer the same protection as hiking boots, but are much lighter weight. To really learn about the specific technology making a trail shoe different from a road shoe, our own Mike Cosentino (founder of BPRC, and serious trail running geek) put together a video we call “Trail Shoes 101.” Mike does a great job of demystifying this equipment.
For safety purposes, space is limited, so please RSVP below and let us know you're coming.
