Ladies & Gentlemen: Start Your Engines!Whether you coming out to BPRC to test drive some shoes, or signing up for a race, we’ve got lot’s of ways to get you revved up this week!!To get you started, it’s not too late to sign up for our Fat Tuesday celebration and New Balance test drive, Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6:30pm at BPRC Decatur. We start the festivities with the opportunity for a 3-4 mile run or walk in a pair of New Balance 1063 neutral or 769 moderate stability shoe. After you get to “Test ‘N Them,” it’s party time. We’ll be serving New Orleans King Cake and perhaps a frothy, hoppy adult beverage from Louisiana known as Abita Beer. (Must be 21 to partake in that particular treat!) Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez! Register Now! Speaking of New Balance “Test ‘N Them,” we wanted to give everyone a chance to take these beauties out for a spin without having to spend too many miles in a car. So if you can’t make this one, join us at: • BPRC Kennesaw, Saturday, February 28th at 8:00am • BPRC Atlanta, Wednesday, March 4th at 6:30pm • BPRC Marietta, Thursday, March 5th at 10:10am, to help kick off our brand new women’s running group! You can be sure there will be all kinds of fun give aways and door prizes, and of course all of these events are free of charge and open to runners and walkers of all abilities! From test driving to racing! Time is running out to register in-store for the Run for the Son 5K and 10K taking place on February 28 in Powder Springs: Benefiting the Burnt Hickory Baptist Church Student Ministry International Mission Trip the 10K is another fine opportunity for a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. There’s a 1 mile fun-run at 7:45, with the 5K & 10K starting at 8:00, so this event offers a chance for the whole family to come out and play! In-store registration is available until 8:00pm, Thus., 2/25 at BPRC Kennesaw and Marietta. Race day registration is available. Looking for another fast, fun Peachtree Road Race qualifier? Then the 11th Annual Silver Comet 10K presented by The Get Fit Atlanta Marathon / Triathlon Club and Training Program, should be on your list! Taking place on Saturday, March 14th at 8:00am, this is your last chance to lay down that blazing fast race before submitting your Peachtree application. New this year! Chip timing for the most accurate results! And, rest assured results will be posted in plenty of time to submit with your Peachtree application! Proceeds benefit numerous community programs and school running programs. In-store registration is going on right now at all 4 BPRC locations! *Announcing the BPRC Marietta Women’s Group! Starting Thursday, March 5th at 10:10am with the NB “Test ‘N Them,” and continuing every Thursday at 10:10am, this is a great opportunity for runners and walkers of different abilities to find some training buddies. We have a 3 and 5 mile route mapped out that spares you from some of East Cobb’s more challenging hills. Of course if you want to go longer and hillier, we’re happy to accommodate your wish! Did you know that we also have a women’s group in Kennesaw! Just a few weeks old, and this program already has walkers and runners of all different paces.
