Hello 2010!
Can you believe another year has run away? Peachy, and the entire team at BPRC would like to thank all of you for hanging out with us this past year. While we are called upon to share our knowledge, and offer up advice, we are always learning from you. Thanks for your race stories, training tips, nutrition ideas, and of course your friendship. We look forward to working and playing with you in 2010!
Speaking of learning from you, we would like to congratulate Leslie Stewart Carney for winning the randomly selected drawing for a $100 BPRC gift card as a thank you for taking the time to answer our recent survey. In fact we appreciate all of you for your invaluable feedback.
How do we run down the last day of 2009? By letting you know of some awesome ways to start 2010 of course!
Mark your calendar for our first in-store events/clinics of the year:
Sat. Jan. 9th at 8:00am, BPRC Kennesaw kicks off a new series of races presented by Anytime Fitness called “The Time Is Now.” Consisting of four 5K and/or 10K races with interesting twists, this is a great way for beginners to test their race legs, and for seasoned veterans to try something different. Meet Race Director Mark Vescio to learn more about the fun. Full details of the event (which will include the chance for a run, and treats from Sweet Tomatoes,) in next week’s Peachy News.
While we're kicking things off, our next in-store event takes place at BPRC Marietta on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 7:00pm, we’re going to Chatt up the Chattahoochee Challenge 10K with a group run at 6:15, followed by a wine and cheese reception, and a few words from Race Director DeAnn Fordham. She’ll talk about this fast, fun Peachtree Road Race Qualifier, as well as all the good work the Chattahoochee Nature Center is doing to keep our environment healthy. You will also get tips on how to be a more eco-chic runner, and lots more. Full details and the chance to sign up coming soon.
Then on Sat., Jan. 30 at 8:00am in BPRC Atlanta, we kick off a series of group runs and fun with the good folks from Mizuno USA called the “Inspired To Run Tour.” Help train for a spring half or full marathon, winter 10K, and just get to hang out and run with some really cool people. You know there’s always something interesting and different at a BPRC event, so plan on joining us. More info coming soon.
