Girls Just Wanna Have Fun……and Peachy’s got just the ticket. BPRC Marietta is excited to announce the return of our fabulous Ladies Night! Yes, we know you guys want to have fun too, but this time, it’s the ladies turn, so please pass this information along to the special ladies in your life. We had 120 attendees last year, and look forward to a big crowd again this year! (Hey Guys! Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you. Scroll down for information on some other really cool happenings!)What does Peachy consider fun? How about a glass of wine and some delicious food from Six Beans served next door at Rose Hall Kitchen Galleria for starters? While your sipping your wine, and nibbling on those treats, be sure to check out the awesome art show hosted by our other next door neighbor, Thompson's Frame & Gallery. Fun also means pampering, and we’ve got massage therapists from Georgia Sports Massage and a chiropractor from Georgia Sports Chiropractic to take care of those nagging little aches and pains, as well as a licensed esthetician from Serenite Spa to talk about facials and skin care. How about fun while saving money? All running apparel (men's as well as women's) will be 20% off during Ladies Night! And to ensure you are comfortable in your latest running togs, Moving Comfort reps will be in the house to help you get the proper fit for your sports (or regular) bra. Another great way we provide fun for the evening, is with time management help for your busy schedule. If you are registered for the Zooma Half Marathon or 5K, you can pick up your race packet during the festivities, so no need for a separate trip! Then, to top off the evening, how about a runway show highlighting the latest cool weather running gear providing the best that fashion and function have to offer. We're talking models, music, chairs lining the runway - this is the real deal! New York, Paris, Milan...they've got nothing on Marietta!!! Of course, no fun event would be complete without drawings for some awesome prizes and a Goodie Bag filed with SWAG! Amongst the items in the bag: a pair of Balega socks, a lingerie bag, and a complimentary copy of Women’s Running Magazine. Check out their offer for a free T-shirt with new subscription. Goodie Bags will be available to the first 100 who register, and attend the festivities. (In other words, you have to be in it to win it.) But, don’t stress it if you’re #101 or higher. Remember those 120 ladies we mentioned attended last year’s event? We had fewer bags then, and while only about 50% received Goodie Bags, 100% had a great time, and were glad they came! OK Guys, as promised here are some cool goings on you can do with or without the ladies: Let's Play Some Poker! That's right, we said poker! Join us at BPRC Decatur, Kennesaw, or Atlanta on Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30pm for a Poker Run presented by Team In Training! Starting at Big Peach, we'll map out a 3-4 mile course for you to run or walk, as you meet a dealer with playing cards along the way. To complete your hand, the final dealer and cards will be waiting for you at a nearby restaurant. This is one group run/walk, where you can win with your hands rather than your feet, as the best poker hands will win prizes, not the fastest runner! Then, stick around and have some dinner, as the participating restaurants generously donate a percentage of each check to the Georgia Chapter of Team in Training. Not just fun, but seriously cool too!! If you go to the Decatur Poker Night, dinner will be at the Raging Burrito, for some of the best, fresh burritos in town, and maybe una cerveza. If Kennesaw is your neighborhood, then your post run meal will be at Keegan's Public House where you can have some delicious pub grub, and perhaps a pint as well. And, if you're closest to BPRC Atlanta, dinner is at Elwood's Pizza, where you will find some of the best home made pizza around! (Yes, they serve beer too!) Turkey Day Fun! In-store registration is available at all 4 BPRC locations for the 2008 Gobble Jog. This Thanksgiving Day classic taking place at the Marietta Square for Must Ministries is a must for the entire family, and offers a Tot Trot for kids 5 and under, a 1K, 5K, and 10K you can use as your 2009 Peachtree Qualifier. There’s even a pre-race carb dinner the night before so you don’t have to do any extra Thanksgiving cooking. This event always gets a huge turnout, with entire families entering as a team. What better way to start the Thanksgiving Holiday, and what better excuse for that extra piece of pecan pie!
