Come On Out And Play!
The weather couldn't be nicer. It's time to get outside and have some fun! Of course we think one of the best ways to do that is to run or walk the Big Peach 5K. Haven't signed up yet? Here are some great reasons to join in the fun on Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00am:
- Our presenting sponsor, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office is on a quest to promote health and fitness. We are honored to have our event as part of their mission.
- All proceeds from the race benefit the Georgia chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Last year, thanks to our participants, we were able to donate $8.400! And yes, we have "phantom runner" spots available for those who wish to support the cause, but are unable to participate on race day.
- A really great looking Nike Dri Fit technical T-shirt! Register early to make sure we have one for you!
- Walker friendly, stroller friendly, even doggie friendly! So, if you've never really considered entering a road race, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try.
- Judged Racewalk included this year. If you've never seen this sport, get ready to be razzle dazzled by some really fast walkers! (If you are familiar with the rules of racewalking, sign in with the Walking Club of Georgia on race day.)
- Prize Money! Yup, that's right. If you're one of those fast guys (or gals) don't miss out. Our total purse is about $1000!
- Music, entertainment, raffle prizes, and way too much good food!
So, what are you waiting for? Come into either BPRC location to register and pick up your race number, download an application and mail it to us, or register online at Active.com.
