BPRC/Subaru Trail Running Series Is Back!Not only is it time for the next installment of everybody's favorite trail running series, check out all the cool fun we have to offer during this hot summer weather! Read on for more info about:1) BPRC Trail Run 2) In-Store Race Registration 3) Save The Date BPRC Mega Grand Opening Celebration 4) BPRC Fall Five Miler 1) The BPRC/ Subaru Trail Run Series is back!! Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner, an active day hiker, or someone who has never run or walked off-road, this is a can’t miss! Join us on Sunday, Aug. 3, at the beautiful Vickery Creek Trail located in Roswell. We have a 4 mile route set up with options for additional mileage. This route is fairly technical in places, but should prove a fun challenge for all! We start the run at 8:00am, but if you would like to meet at BPRC Marietta to carpool or caravan, we will take off from there at 7:30. As always, this event is free of charge and open to runners and walkers of all abilities and paces. Directions to the run from Atlanta: Take GA 400N to exit 6, Northridge Road. Turn right at the top of the ramp. Proceed to Roswell Road, and turn right. Continue on Roswell Road until it becomes S. Atlanta Street at the intersection of Azalea Dr. and Riverside Road. Follow S. Atlanta Street up to the top of the hill at historic downtown Roswell. Turn right on Mill Street into the Old Roswell Mill. Parking is available in the far back corner at the bottom of the hill. Look for the Big Peach Subaru. The Details: What: BPRC/Subaru Trail Run Where: Vickery Creek (directions above) When: Sunday, August 1, 2008 at 8:00am run, 7:30 Caravan or Carpool Register Now! 2) In addition to continuing in-store registration for races noted on the right hand side of the page, here are some other fun races you can register for at any BPRC location: 5K For Hope Road Race, benefitting Our House, Inc., a childcare and support center for homeless families. The race takes place on Saturday, August 23 at 8:15am, at the Decatur Campus of Georgia Perimeter College. There’s also a 1 mile fun run beginning at 7:15 am. Also a great event for a very important cause is the 2008 American Liver Foundation's Liver Life Walk. Taking place at At Stone Mountain Park on Saturday, October 18th at 8:00am, this event is great for the entire family. In-store registration is available at all BPRC locations. 3) Now that all 4 BPRC locations are going strong, we need to celebrate in a BIG way! We will have a week-long celebration starting Monday, August 18th, and ending on Saturday August 23rd. Details for all the events and excitement will be coming to you in Peachy’s News on August 11th. Mark your calendars, and get ready for a super week! 4) Save the date! We are very excited to announce the Fall Five Miler presented by BPRC and AT&T Real Yellow Pages! Taking place on October 18 at our Marietta location, proceeds will benefit the MDA and the Chattahoochee Nature Center. More details about the event and registration will be coming soon!
