Third Annual Big Peach Running Co. 5K Run/Walk, Brookhaven

The 2008 Big Peach Running Co. is scheduled to run Saturday, May 3, 2008. Once again the presenting sponsor is the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta (TECO). Other major sponsors include MARTA and Nike.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. A donation of $8,450 was made in 2007, with expectations to exceed $10,000 in 2008.
Approximately 2200 runners, walkers and race walkers of all levels and abilities are projected to participate in the race. Students from the Taiwanese Schools’ Drum Corp will once again entertain participants and spectators both before and after the race. In addition, 2008 brings a dancing lion to the festivities as well.
In-store registration begins at both Big Peach Running Co. locations on Friday, February 29, 2008.
