Nate Price
Nate Price started running his freshman year in high school in New Jersey after his soccer coach (who was also the track coach) thought he’d be a pretty good half miler and 400 meter hurdler. After a week of hurdle practice and choking on cinders from falling over the very first hurdle in his very first race, Nate and the coaches decided it’d be best if he focused on the half mile and mile races, still his two favorite distances to this day.
After a fairly successful high school running career, where he finished up at Lakeside High School in DeKalb county, Nate attended Presbyterian College where he helped lead the Blue Hose program for four solid years in the South Atlantic Conference. Nate says, “while we were never conference champs, we always thought we’d have liked it on top in the SAC.” He graduated in May of 2007, and after taking some time off is anxious and excited about getting back into great shape and hopefully dropping some fast times at some local races.
Nate also has a fervor for coaching and has recently started volunteering at his alma mater, Lakeside High School. He feels that is where his true passion lies, and hopes to one day be able to coach and mentor high school kids while educating them on this great lifestyle!
