Joe Gibson

The General Manager for the Marietta location since July 1st, 2006 Joe came to BPRC from James Madison University in his native Harrisonburg, VA where he coached the men and women in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.

A competitive track & cross country runner during his collegiate years at the Brevard College and Clemson University, Joe moved north to Michigan after graduation to run for the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project in Rochester MI.

Today you can find him still competing occasionally in local 5k-10k’s. Joe finally completed his first marathon in October 2007 at Chicago. Despite the record heat that day, he enjoyed the challenge of the marathon, and anticipates running more in the future.

Working in specialty running the past 7 years, Joe enjoys using the knowledge he’s learned from Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors and countless other peers. Coupled with his own personal running, he always looks to use this knowledge to help our guests find the proper footwear with an emphasis on staying injury free. Joe still enjoys the coaching side of running as well and welcomes the opportunity to offer advice for those training for races from 5k’s to marathon.
